Recipe Note
Why go homemade?
You know exactly what's going into the bowl. For picky eaters, dogs with sensitive stomachs, or anyone who just wants to do better by their pup, fresh food can make a real difference. We're talking more energy, better digestion, shinier coats. The hard part with homemade is usually getting the nutrition right, which is exactly why the Dog Child Meal Mix exists. It's formulated with leading pet nutritionists and vets, packed with 75+ whole-food sourced nutrients, prebiotics, omegas, and antioxidant-rich fruits. Complete and balanced every time. No guesswork, no extra supplements.
How do I store it?
Pop it in an airtight container and it'll keep in the fridge for 2 to 3 days. If you're meal prepping, portion it out and freeze for up to 60 days. Just thaw overnight in the fridge when you're ready to use it.
Can I use a different protein?
Totally. Chicken, beef, lamb, and pork all work great here. If you're using cod, add 200g of egg. Going with beef? Use 4x the oil.
Do I need to add any supplements?
Nope. The Meal Mix is already nutritionally complete when paired with your protein and oil. That's the whole point. One less thing to think about.
How much should I feed my dog?
It depends on their size and activity level. We've got a full feeding guide below, but as a quick example, a 35 lb dog with average activity needs about 2 cups per day, split into two meals. Monitor and see how your dog does.
